Pat Elynuik Hockey Development has been dedicated for the past several years to making a difference in the quality of player development in the hockey community. We focus on the successful criteria necessary to build successful players not only on the ice but off the ice as well. We are effective in producing results for the development of players because we have played at the highest level. We know what it takes! Not only do we have the skills and experience…we have the knowledge. Through our programs we are able to pass this on to our players.
Profile: I was born and played the majority of my minor hockey in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. As a fifteen year old attended the much famed Notre Dame College in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. Drafted in the bantam draft, played 4 incredible years with the Prince Albert Raiders, under the coaching of Terry Simpson and Rick Wilson. We won the Memorial Cup with in 1985, what an experience that was! In 1986 drafted in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft, 8th overall by the Winnipeg Jets. In 1987 I was chosen to represent my country in the World Junior Championship in Czechlosvakia, we all remember the year of the brawl. Finished off a successful and ever so enjoyable 10 year career in the National Hockey League with: Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lighting, and the Ottawa Senators.
Since retiring in 1997, I have been dedicated to the development of talented young players within the community, as well as with my three sons Campbell, Jakson and Hudson.
