Caylin is in his 7th year as a member of the Crash Conditioning team. Originally hired in 2014 as a support and casual role, in 2016 Caylin took over a supervisory position as Senior Strength and Conditioning coach. During his tenure, as Senior S & C coach, Caylin administered exercise training and assessments for numerous sports clubs and organizations within the city of Calgary and surrounding area. Additionally, Caylin will take the lead in all areas related to hockey development within our off-season training camp which includes facilitating sport and exercise-related testing, player monitoring, exercise prescription, and consultation.

In the spring of 2020, Caylin graduated from the University of Calgary where he obtained a Master of Kinesiology, with a specialization in exercise physiology. While enrolled in the M.Kin he also received a placement with the Calgary Flames where he was able to complete a multi-term internship which focused on performance enhancement, return-to-play strategies, and applied sport science. This opportunity provided Caylin with exposure to advanced testing, monitoring, and training strategies, as well as the ability to work hands-on in an NHL environment.

Caylin looks to use this experience to enhance the training and development of all Crash Conditioning athletes (#Crashletes). Originally from Grand Forks, BC, his playing experience includes Junior “A”, US College, and the ECHL.
